The “Music of Peace” International Festival held in Ashgabat was a remarkable cultural event that captivated the hearts of art lovers worldwide. Among the distinguished performers was Azerbaijan’s Honored Artist Saida Sherifaliyeva, whose deep appreciation for classical music and exquisite artistry elevated the festival to new heights.
The festival was organized by Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Culture with the support of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Turkmenistan. Its primary mission was to foster creative ties among performers representing various national music traditions, enhance international cooperation, and contribute to the development of classical music.
The festival featured artists from not only Azerbaijan but from various other countries, including opera singers, classical musicians, and musical ensembles such as trios, quartets, and quintets. Each performance demonstrated the cultural exchange and added to the global enrichment of music.
Saida Sherifaliyeva proudly represented Azerbaijan by performing the works of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, a renowned Azerbaijani composer. Her repertoire included the famous “Gulchohra’s Aria” from the opera “Arshin Mal Alan”, as well as the duet “Asker and Gulchohra”, which she performed alongside Turkmenistan’s well-known vocalist Mansur Sherifov.
Her performances were warmly received by the audience. Among the festival guests were representatives of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Turkmenistan, who emphasized the significance of the cultural closeness between the two nations.
At the conclusion of the event, diplomats and art enthusiasts met with Saida Sherifaliyeva, expressing their appreciation for her stunning performance and presenting her with bouquets of flowers.
